I would just like to start out by saying that Alan Lee is one of the nicest guys ever. Before the event started, he came out and shook everyone's hand, and after a short slide show composed of some of his artwork, he opened up the floor to questions. It was all very low key and great. When it was my turn in line and I said my name was "Heidi" he said that was a pretty name and not one he heard often.  I could go on forever, but I'll just end with this, if you ever have the chance to meet this guy, take it.
