Anyone who had access to watch/hear/read the news in October of 2007 would have heard of the terrible fires that were alive in Southern California. Fortunately, for my family and I, we were far enough away that we only saw the smoke and felt the ashes fall down, but no flames. Still in the process of three days, I spent most of my time watching the sky. It was an eerie sight.
