"If any of you are out there are three...play the piano."- Billy Boyd

ORC was significantly smaller this year. Both in how many people were there, to how vendors there were. And everything was slightly cheaper, which is a good thing.

Jennifer and I got a good early start Sunday morning and actually we got down there before the place even opened to buy our tickets. So we went to the only place in walking distance that was opened, Starbucks. We knew it was ORC time because the peoples in front of us were Easterlings. Love when something as common as going to Starbucks gets a geeky twist like that.

They let us in by 11am, and by noon Jennifer and I had looked at everything that was for sale. So that gave us more time to figure out what to spend our hard earned money (that we weren't going to spend much of) on. I sure did not stay in budget, but didn't do as bad as last year.

First we went to the Billy Boyd Q and A, which I've decided that my camera simply does not like him because I have never been able to get a half decent picture of him.

We had time to kill before the Miranda Otto Q and A and went on a quest to find a permanent marker, we went to like 4 different stores before we found one at this weird undergroundish grocery store. Heh, and while we were checking out Aragorn and Sauron were in front of us checking out. After that mini quest was over both Jennifer and I got one of these glasses beer steins that had "The Prancing Pony" on the front. I got all the TORnados to sign mine (hence the need for the marker). Rest of the day was spent trying not to break it! We had fun taking some silly pictures of stuff, one I sorely missed out on was this guy dressed up as a Nazgul and he had a giant nose. Actually it was all nose. Awesomely hilarious costume.

The main reason we picked Sunday as the day to go was to see Miranda Otto, and at least I wasn't disappointed. I loved her voice, it was so pretty! And it was obvious she wasn't as used to doing these cons as the hobbits, but it was enjoyable just to listen, and I got slightly better pictures of her than Billy.
